Ethics Training for Engineering Organizations

Arthur Schwartz

Arthur Schwartz

Nothing is more critical to the prospects and sustainability of an engineering organization than its good name. However, everyday, engineering organizations put their reputations at risk because they don' t fully understand or appreciate the ethical implications of employee conduct at all levels. The many years an organization has spent building its reputation and growing its brand can be lost in an instant because of the action of one employee or the organization itself.

To assist engineering organizations, NSPE General Counsel and internationally recognized engineering ethics expert Arthur Schwartz is now available to provide engineering ethics training and guidance to engineering firms, corporate engineering departments, government agencies, and other institutions of all sizes and areas of practice.

These PE Ethics training programs (including program materials and handouts) can be customized for your organization and tailored to all levels: graduate engineers, EIs, mid-level professionals, engineering managers, and senior personnel. Training programs can be implemented in a variety of formats, including interactive case-study reviews, panel discussions, lectures, role-playing, interactive exercises, customized Web seminars, and others. Courses and program modules can range in length from 90 minutes to a full-day or more.

PE Ethics training programs can also provide a wide range of other services such as

  • Case-Specific Ethics Consulting
  • Engineering Organization Code of Ethics Development
  • Ongoing External Ethics Hotline Services
  • Internal Ethics/Values-Based Employee Surveys and Research Studies
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Ethics Compliance Training
  • Expert Witness Testimony
  • Ongoing Ethics Retainer Services

With engineers and their companies facing increasingly difficult ethical questions, make sure that your organization is prepared for the challenges that can arise.
